Mehmet Guleryuz, born in 1938,  has been graduated from Istanbul Fine Arts Academy from Painting Department. In his early stages he studied theatre in Haldun Dormen Theater, directed some plays, went to Paris to study Painting and Lithography, taught in his former Art School and resigned to live in New York from 1980 to 1984 where he sculpted and prepared prints in Brussels before returning to Istanbul in 1985. He anticipated in many projects including "Counter Wild" Series in Sheraton Hotel, Ankara, 7 paintings in Polat Renaissance Hotel and then became president of IAA Turkey and a member of the World IAA executive committee between 2002-2005.
I really like his brush and palette strokes and admired his choice of colors:

Ok. I was assuming wrong! I found the artist that I was looking for! (Actually she found me because of my mistaken post - Gaye sorry again - ). The paintings/illustrations on the walls and doors in the bathroom in Kemancı belongs to Gaye Su Akyol (she's also one of the managers of the place) .  Unfortunately you have to visit Kemacı to see the work I'm talking about but hey, these are as gorgeous as they can be! :
